FAQ

What is your salary?

Your compensation as a temporary employee is based on the hours you work during the month and the hourly rate set at the beginning of the assignment.

Your salary will be paid between the 1st and 10th of each month, along with your precariousness benefits (except in cases of termination initiated by the employee) and your paid vacation.
For those working in the construction industry, vacation time is paid to the Construction Paid Vacation Fund (CCPB) and is paid in two periods throughout the year (4/5 of the accrued time in July/August and 1/5 in December).
At the end of the assignment, you will be issued your work certificate and your employer’s statement regarding the end of the assignment.

What is a work permit? And how do I get one?

To work in Monaco, you must have authorization issued by the Employment Service, which entitles you to a work permit. Employers apply for this when hiring.

You must have an identity card, a passport, or, for non-European nationals, a valid residence permit issued in the Alpes-Maritimes (06) region, stating “authorizing the holder to work.”
